1890s Victorian dangle earrings. Antique Victorian earrings from the 1890’s. Ornate dangle wire earrings for pierced ears with thick tri-color rolled gold plating. Earrings dangle over 2 inches from ball top of wire. Victorian jewelry was romantic with a focus on symbolism with nature motifs. Note the different shades of gold on the earrings. These earrings are a vine. The vine leaves are a shade of green gold (the color is created by mixing gold with silver). There are dainty tendrils at the top of each earrings in a yellow gold. And dangling raceme with 3 spherical flowers in a warmer rose gold.
