This sparkling marcasite and sterling brooch is an owlfly with ruby gems for eyes. At first glance one might think dragonfly, but look at those antennae. The antennae are long like an owlfly. And owlfly are a type of lacewing and this pin has lacy wings. Wingspan measures 3 and 1/8 inches across. Marked 925 on back.
